Beyond the Desk: Culture, Cool & the Future of Workplace
The keynote at the CoreNet Global Australia Chapter Annual Conference, to around 300 corporate real estate and workplace leaders at Illuminator in the Macquarie Bank building. Beyond the Desk introduced the Coolnomics Workplace Principles, a framework for how culture and cool shape the future of the workplace. A workplace leader in the room went on to cite Coolnomics in her own presentation, then booked me to speak to her national team.
Corporate Coolnomics® at Studio P3
An invite-only evening hosted by Studio P3 for senior leaders across banking, museums, investment, technology, property and design. The talk introduced The Coolnomics Dollar, The Resonance Gap, The Corporate Idea Arc and Hybrid Intelligence: how to take an idea from market opportunity to business case to legacy impact inside a large organisation. The most recent run of Corporate Coolnomics and the clearest view of where the thinking sits now.
Talks and Topics
-
01
The Economics of Cool
The core talk. Why the coolest version of an idea is also the most commercially valuable, and the five principles that determine whether an idea will work. The room leaves able to score its own ideas.
-
02
The Commercial Dialectic
Commercial strategy that gets the coolest ideas built, funded and to market. Cool and money held in the same decision. Not one or the other, both.
-
03
Aesthetics as Commercial Edge
Design is not decoration sitting on top of a business. It is how emotion gets built into an idea, and emotion carries commercial weight. Made for rooms that build things. They leave treating aesthetics as a commercial instrument, not a finish.
-
04
How to Read the Zeitgeist
Culture moves before the market does. How to read the cultural zeitgeist and the economic tide, and time an idea to meet both. The room leaves knowing what the moment wants.
-
05
Corporate Coolnomics
How to take an idea all the way from market opportunity to business case to legacy impact in an enterprise setting. The full practice, run inside a large organisation.

I'd love to hear what you're putting together. Every talk is shaped around the room and its theme, so a conversation is the best place to start.
