Who these sessions are for
CEOs and founders. Creative directors. Marketing leaders. Aspiring entrepreneurs.

For ambitious leaders who need strategic advice for their business. We can work anywhere across the Commercial Spectrum - from idea, all the way through to market launch, growth and industry authority.

You might want to increase sales, test the relevance of a new product, decide who to hire and when, or pitch a concept to an investor. We can look at the business through a Coolnomics® lens and find your next strategic steps.

The process
Step One

First, you'll tell me
about your vision.

You'll submit a simple Brief that tells me about your idea or business, what you want to achieve and what's getting in the way.

Step Two

Next, I'll analyse the
Coolnomics of your business.

Before we meet, I'll look at your idea or business through a Coolnomics lens. I'll analyse the resonance and commercial model across the core principles. Then we'll have a clear picture of where your business currently is in relation to the market and where you might head next.

The Coolnomics® Principles
RelevanceWhere your business sits in the culture right now, its cultural lineage and fundamental human resonance.
EmotionThe emotional profile of your product and brand. The more you can make people feel, the more your ability to lead and influence a market.
TrustWhy you, why this, why now. The evidence to back it up. If you want to do something cool, you have to work with what is true.
MoneyThe commercials. Price, margin, model. The dynamic between investment and scale.
EthicsThe social, environmental and economic impact. The integrity of what you're building.

We're looking at the vision, product, brand, tech, operations and people to see where the opportunities and headwinds lie. A business owns its market when all the parts move together.

Step Three

Then, we'll meet
and find your direction.

The session starts warm, fully oriented to your context, so we can get straight to work. I'll walk you through the analysis and the recommendations. We'll discuss, collaborate and land on your action plan.

The analysis tells you what you're working with. The recommendations tell you where to make the moves. I'll recommend three next moves for the business, across:

VisionWhat the business is about and where it aims to go.
ProductWhat you're selling and its relationship to the market.
BrandThe story it is telling.
Tech, Ops & PeopleHow it operates and who runs it.
CommercialsPrice, model, margin, how the money grows.

Afterwards you get the recording and a one-page summary.

For example

You book a session to assess a new product idea. You think there is a demand, you think you can meet it but you want to know what is going to matter most as you move toward market launch. I recommend three next moves across product, brand and tech that point in a clear strategic direction.

For example

You book a session to explore the next growth move for your small business. You have positive cashflow and a collection of ideas for how you'd like to scale, but you're not sure how and where to invest to do it. I recommend three next moves across vision, product and operations that align and support your vision.

Client Success Stories

Missy Came to me in 2021 with a business vision for UnitePlayPerform. I helped her clarify her strategic pathway and positioning. She's since scaled in market, working with Melbourne Design Week, Brisbane Museum and Pitch Festival, commercialising her design and wellbeing practice across key sectors and geographies.
Dean Had an experiential agency and wanted it to grow. The recommendation was about focus and positioning. He went on to work with Hoka, Stanley and UFC.
Dan Had a media company yet truly wanted to realise his vision of a mens wellbeing brand. I walked him through the Coolnomics strategy process and he's now running regular wellbeing events in Sydney and has a podcast. I've continued to work with him on leadership and creative direction.
Kate Ran premium nursing business and wanted to scale. I worked with her to develop an eight figure commercial strategy that expanded her market reach and developed new products and technology infrastructure.
Your Strategist

MBA (UTS) · Design & Psychology · Commercial Strategist · UTS Strategy Tutor · Founder

Let's activate your full business vision

I hold an MBA from UTS alongside studies in design and psychology, because the cool and the money were never separate moves. When you do both, you win. That's the thesis behind Coolnomics.

I've spent decades helping people take visionary ideas to market. Not writing about it, doing it, for global corporations, for founders with their families' money on the line and for myself.

Across five years running Superora, my management consulting firm, I worked with 25 clients and uncovered $50 million in new commercial value. I've launched real products into real markets, with media coverage in Vogue, the AFR and the Sydney Morning Herald, real sales and real consequences if the strategy was wrong.

I also teach strategy at UTS Business School, bringing an educational intention to my work with you.

My approach is responsive. Each session solves the problem in front of you and leverages the commercial opportunity underneath it, while you learn the thinking behind the strategy as we go. Solving and learning at the same time, a rare offering in this market.
